How do you feel about Florida’s quick dissent into what feels like a, a dictatorship terrified? I’m building off that last question I just answered. It is terrifying there. There’s so many horrible things. Like, I don’t know if my wife is gonna come home and be like, Hey, by the way, I have had charges filed against me because I’ve got books in my classroom that were not approved. I, that’s the thing that could happen. I’m waiting for that phone call for it to happen. My wife can be very stubborn. She can also be very, uh, uh, confrontational if you, if you push her and. So I, I, I have no doubt she, you know, might end up getting, uh, uh, charged because she didn’t wanna listen to them because she thought the rule was stupid. Uh, not saying she would, I have no idea. I’ve never even seen her classroom. I’ve never been inside her school. Um, but it’s scary. It’s scary to think that my kids might be targeted for, for who they are. They’re still discovering who they are as people.

And so, I don’t know. It, it’s scary to think that somebody could pick on them or worse because of their last name. I don’t have an exceptionally common last name. And, and people are well aware of the fact that I live in Florida. They know I live in Matt Gates district. I’ve said that plenty of times, possibly, uh, to my own detriment. So it doesn’t take much for people to put two and two together. And that terrifies me. So not just with the dictatorship, but just the personal aspect of it. It’s horrifying. It’s also horrifying to watch what’s happening to other people here in the state of Florida, cuz it’s not just about me, it’s about all of us. Now you’ve got people voting for a man that is literally stripping them away of their rights and they don’t care. They applaud it, they’re happy about it. They don’t care. You know, if they have a transgender member and their family, good, let’s take your rights away.

It, it is sick and it’s appalling, but it really is just, it, it’s a sickness that’s affecting the entire country and it’s terrifying. It’s not just confined to Florida, it’s all over the south. It’s all through the red states. It’s in pieces of blue states. We’re all gonna have to deal with this eventually, and we shouldn’t have to live in this kind of fear. It’s no longer just ideological differences between, you know, oh, well we should have small government. No, we should have bigger government. I mean, God, if we could go back to the days of that being the big argument, that’d be wonderful. But we’re so past that. This is, this is fascism. It’s not creeping up. We’re living in it and we have no idea what’s gonna happen to us as a result of it. I mean, I’m quite literally, you know, the pending bill in the state of that says if you’re a blogger talking about our state government, you have to register with the state and tell ’em who’s paying you or the other bill that is still pending that would abolish the Democratic party. Those are real pieces of legislation here in the state of Florida. So my job and my political affiliation, could be criminal in a couple weeks or months. I don’t know. So it’s awful. And, uh, I, I mean, I guess that’s all I have to say. Yeah, it’s terrifying. I’m very afraid.
